Dr McCartney came to Nowra in 1986 to work in General Practice in a rural community. Although she has significant Paediatric experience, she has always wanted to provide General Practice Services that cater for patients of all ages. Now as a senior GP at Moss Street Medical Practice, she is proud of the strong commitment to high quality medical care that the team of GPs, Nurses & support staff provide.
Dr McCartney also works with the Primary Health Network and as well as the Local Health District. She hopes this work will ensure improved & more accessible service for all the community.
Outside of the practice she enjoys outdoor activites as well as being involved in a number of muscial activites including performances with Trio 42 (Flutist) & regular concernts over the last 10 years with The Lydian Singers.

Dr Kunze Graduated from Sydney University in 1989 after a working as a zoologist. She trained in Concord Hospital and completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in the Shoalhaven Region. She enjoys the challenges that present working in general practice in the Shoalhaven. Dr Kunze prides herself in practicing holistic health care and with her wealth of knowledge is very good at thinking outside the box.
Dr Kunze has a keen interest in biology and the study of all creatures great and small.
When not at work she enjoy outdoor activities including bicycle riding and gardening but is just at home with reading or watching a movie.

Dr Alkemade started work as a registrar with Moss Street in 2014 after completing his training in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra region. He gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. In 2018 he became a co-owner of the practice and aims to continue the current high level of care provided by the staff, well into the future.
When not at work you will find him caring for his young family, tackling a landscaping project or going for a run.
Dr Saleem joined Moss Street Medical Practice in 2014. She grew up in Iraq and graduated from Baghdad University College of Medicine and gained speciality degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology while training in Jordan.
After migrating to Australia she worked in Wollongong and Nepean Hospitals as an O&G registrar and gained her diploma in Obstertrics/Gynaecology (DRANZCOG).
In 2013 she had a change of heart and started her GP training and completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. She appreciates the role GPs play in peoples health, social and emotional wellbeing.

Dr Friis-O’Toole joined the practice in 2019 as a first year General Practice Registrar. She completed her initial training in St George Hospital, Sydney after graduating from the University of Wollongong.
When not at work she enjoys any sport, DIY, horse riding and playing the cello.
